Delivery Information

Mountain Hardwoods is all about service, and that carries on particularly with our deliveries.  We use a specialist delivery company who have carried our worktops for a long time.  Deliveries can be organized from that same week to weeks in advance – entirely as it suits you.  Once the delivery is booked in, the day before we can advise you roughly what time the delivery will take place.  The exception to this is pre-arranged times at odd times of day, which we can also accommodate at the time of order, subject to availability.  The driver will then call you half an hour before arrival, so you don’t have worry about missing the delivery if you have to pop out for ten minutes.  We just ask that you are ready to take delivery, and have an area cleared ready for the worktops.  You will need at least one able bodied person to help carry the worktops as all of the deliveries are single man only. With longer length worktops, 2 or more able bodied people are required. If you feel you will not be able to have enough able bodied people on hand on the agreed delivery date, or you have any concerns about how many people are required for the worktops you have ordered, please let our office know as soon as possible. The worktops are heavy, so the helpers need to be strong!  We cannot allow pregnant ladies to help us under any circumstances.  The driver will ask you to check the worktops and then to sign for them, and then it’s all to you!  Please note that it is your responsibility to make sure the person you designate is strong enough!!!!

Delivery on worktops starts at £ 45.

Delivery is based on size of order and delivery location. Here are some example costings:

2 worktops at 3000 x 640 mm:
£ 45 for standard UK delivery
£ 65 for southern highlands of Scotland, Cornwall and Wales
£ 85 for northern highlands of Scotland

3 worktops at 4000 mm x 640 mm:
£ 85 for standard UK delivery
£ 105 for southern highlands of Scotland, Cornwall and Wales
£ 130 for northern highlands of Scotland

especially wide worktops e.g. 3500 mm x 1400 mm:
£ 75 for standard UK delivery
£ 95 for southern highlands of Scotland, Cornwall and Wales
£ 120 for northern highlands of Scotland

5000 x 640 mm worktop:
£ 80 for standard UK delivery
£ 110 for southern highlands of Scotland, Cornwall and Wales
£ 150 for northern highlands of Scotland
