Oak Worktops

All of our worktops are fully bespoke, made to order, to your exact size and requirements. Please use our Quote Calculator for pricing of any custom sized wooden worktops, alternatively feel free to call us to discuss any requirements you have.

You may be able to buy cheaper Oak worktops, but we urge you to compare samples first. You will really see the difference it makes, versus lesser quality alternatives, when you buy top grade, properly selected and colour matched, North American White Oak. The small difference in price really does create a huge leap in quality, which is why we exclusively use North American White Oak for all our solid Oak worktops.

30 mm Standard Oak Worktops

30 mm thick Oak worktops with 30 mm wide staves. Our entry level Oak worktops, but still made with the same solid American White Oak we use in all our Oak worktops. Perfect where budget is an issue but without compromising on the quality of the raw materials.

40 mm Premium Oak Worktops

40 mm thick Oak worktops with 40 mm wide staves. Thicker than our standard Oak worktops for a chunkier, more substantial look. Also, the wider staves show more of the beautiful and delicate grain patterns of American White Oak.

Wide Block Deluxe Oak Worktops

45 mm thick Wide block Oak worktops. Wide block construction, random width blocks with an average stave width of 70mm. What sets these worktops apart is that they are made up of much wider staves than the standard or premium worktops, up to twice the width, showing off much more of the natural beauty of the timber.

40 mm Premium Oak Worktops

American White Oak is the most desirable of all the Oaks, even English Oak. Delicate grain patterns, lighter, consistent colours and incredible strength are the hallmarks of American White Oak, the finest examples of which come from the Northern Appalachian Mountain region of New England, particularly Vermont and New Hampshire.

An Oak worktop is brilliant where you need some light reflecting back from the surface, or just prefer a lighter colour to say Walnut. Around 60 percent of the wooden worktops we supply for clients are Oak worktops, and when you look closely at an oiled sample it’s easy to see why. Sunlight almost brings American White Oak to life, making it almost magnetic to human hands. This beauty is apparent in all our Oak worktops, but in none more so than our Wide Block Oak worktops. With staves averaging 70 mm wide and varying in length from 120 mm to over 1200 mm, the quality of the timber is immediately obvious.

Oak worktops go extremely well with a whole variety of kitchen units, contemporary and classic, making it one of the most versatile worktops of all. Our Oak wooden worktops mellow gently over time – after initial oiling the colour and shade will not really change much, other than taking a slightly softer patina, a characteristic of most natural materials. Thanks to its extremely dense grain, an American White Oak worktop will last for centuries if properly maintained.

Our workshops can make up an Oak wooden worktop to almost any size and shape. We have made Oak worktops over 6 metres long and over 2 metres wide. As well as all manner of sink cut outs, corners, curves, drop downs, mitre cuts and finishing detail, we can also oil the wooden worktops so they are ready for immediate installation. We are happy to do as much, or as little work as you would like us to do.

White Oak is fine around under mounted sinks once properly oiled. If you are cutting the Oak worktop yourselves, make sure you use very sharp tooling indeed, and expect it to be blunt by the time you have finished.
